Homesteading ~ wherever you are

About Me

Hi, I’m Lisa and I’m on a journey–one that has taken me through a lifetime of failures, detours, and seeming dead-ends. But as Albert Einstein tells us, . . . ‘Failure is success in progress’. (I wonder how many times my butt hit the ground as a toddler, before my pudgy little legs figured out how to walk?)

I am a modern-day Renaissance woman of sorts. I have been:

  • an RN
  • a home-school mom
  • a cancer survivor
  • an artist
  • a garden center staff member
  • a line-cook
  • a kitchen manager
  • a mini-farmer
  • a writer
  • a permaculture designer
  • a library specialist

What do all of these things have in common? Each and every one of these things have added to my experience and skill-set!

I’m here to share with you the things I wish I’d known sooner in my journey, skills I wish I’d picked up from my grandparents, as well as skills we’ll learn together through new failures/successes along the way!

Won’t you join me on the journey?
